Willcox & Gibbs Attachment Box

Looking for information on how the attachments go into the Willcox and Gibbs case.

Here are some photo of the case and the attachments.

Does anyone have a photo of how they all fit into the little clips in the case?

I'm stumped.

Michael

  2. I'm also hoping for a picture of how the attachments fit in the box. I've searched everywhere for a picture or a description!

  4. If no one has helped you yet - they are screwed on to the bed of the machine, right in front of the needle .

  6. I have this box of attachments, too, and except for the hemmers, I have no idea where they all go, either. It would be so nice to have a picture. I've searched all over for a manual or an advertisement of the attachment box or some other company reference to it!

  7. To those who want to know where all the attachments go, the only ones that have a special place are the ones that came in the box. The 3 hemmers, the ruffler, the tucker, the gathering "toe", and the quilter are the set that came with the machine and have a place in the box. There are the four attachments that did not come with the set that are extra purchases and have no special place or arrangement in the box. Look for the photos on line of how they are arranged in the box. The others may or may not have room to fit. Hope that helped.

  8. Michael, I realize how old this post is, but by chance did your attachment box come with any instructions that include how to use the 4 attachments in front of the box? I've recently found a box that includes these attachments and can find no information on them as to how they are attached. It may be that they are attached to the top of the foot via the piece (clamp) with the screw and tightened into place. Just a thought. Hope you see this.

  9. So as far as I can tell the ruffler and he the tuck marker do not go into that case. They were sold separately. Here is a link to a picture that might help. http://antiquarianendeavors.com/wp-content/uploads/Willcox-Gibbs-Tin-Open-c-crop-900b.jpg

  10. I have a picture of a W&G leaflet that shows the tin. The items in the bottom of the tin are difficult to tell what goes where, but the top is fairly clear. I can't figure out how to attach a pic, so I'll just list the attachments shown in the top. First, you have the 3 hemmers as you would expect, with the nut screwdriver above them. Then, to the right of the hemmers looks like it might be the corder, with the edge stitcher above that, with the attachment area against the edge of the tin. I can't tell for sure if the thing below the edge stitcher and near the edge of the tin is a bias guide?

Everything in the bottom of the tin is jumbled, but it does look like there's a tucker in there. I can't be sure if there's a ruffler or not, though.
